Description & Use

Otrivin Nasal Spray is a decongestant. It works by constricting (shrinking) blood vessels. The nasal formulation acts directly on the blood vessels in the nasal tissues. Constriction of the blood vessels in the nose and sinuses leads to a decrease in congestion.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 to 2 puffs in each nostril up to 3 times a day.

Blow nose gently to clear, insert nozzle into nostril and press applicator firmly once while sniffing deeply.

Withdraw nozzle and release applicator.

Repeat in other nostril, wipe nozzle and replace cap.

Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days. If symptoms persist, see your doctor.

Warnings

Do not use over the recommended dose. Consult your doctor is you are pregnant, or could become pregnant or if you are breastfeeding, or if you are taking other medication. If congestion persists for more then 3 days, seek medical advise. Each pack should be used by only one person, for reasons of hygiene. Brief stinging or sneezing may occur. Excessive use may damage the lining of the nose. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
